If you are beginning the use of Logbook Pro from existing paper copy logs, you can do a mass transfer, just as if you were moving from one paper log to another, carrying forward the totals. Realize though that Logbook Pro will provide the best data analysis for the most detail of the flight entries. Logbook Pro can display data by types and even down to the Ident (N-Number) level of detail, as well as route and approach analysis. There are three main ways of bringing your data in from a paper logbook:

  1. Enter all flights individually, recommended for the highest fidelity logbook solution and data analysis

  2. Break down the sums by Aircraft Type and do a lump sum transfer by each Type.

  3.  Make a one line entry carrying forward all totals. Realize this would skew a particular Aircraft Type, therefore it is recommended to create a fictitious Type called "Transfer" and associate the data to this Type.
